(Guided tour is approximately 2 hours) Understand and enjoy Florentine paintings (Giotto, Fra Angelico, Filippo Lippi, Botticelli, Leonardo, Michelangelo and other great masters) in the most important Italian painting gallery. Then have a rejuvenating break at the museum Cafeteria with a breathtaking view of the city. While having a drink, you can exchange opinions or ask the guide questions.
Pitti Palace & Oltrarno
(Tour time is approximately 2 hours) The Pitti Palace, which was once residence of the Medici family (of the Austrian Grand Duke of Lorraine and of the King of Italy) is the archetype of the European royal palaces. Lavishly decorated and fully furnished, it remains one of the most extraordinary residences in the world. The visit includes the Palatine Gallery, with masterpieces by Raphael, Titian, Rubens and others and the Royal Apartments. The Pitti Palace is located in the picturesque Oltrarno district with its elegant yet neighbourhood-like atmosphere to be discovered during a short pleasant walk off the beaten path along its typical streets. Here you will find artisans’ workshops and antique dealers’ show rooms located on the ground floor of imposing Renaissance palaces.
