Maremma Scuba & Snorkelling
Day 1 – Saturday
On you arrival at Pisa airport you will be picked up by one of our local representative and transferred to Pisa central station, about 10 minutes, where you will board the train for Albinia, the journey is about 2 hours. Once arrived at Albinia you will be transferred to your accommodation Residence Il Poderino about 20 minutes away.
Dinner will be provided at the accommodation.
Day 2 – Sunday
This first day you will be able to explore your surroundings, either takes advantage of the canoes and bikes at the nearby Kite surfing school or just enjoy walks along the beach, splashing around in the water or sunbathing.
As normally Sundays are busy with commuter holidaymakers we prefer not to run our diving activities on this day
Dinner will be provided at the accommodation.
Day 3 – Monday
Day one of your diving itinerary, for this day we have to quite easy but exciting dives in order to order the level of ability of the group and get familiar with the equipment and the surroundings.
First dive Cacciarella
This dive will bring you to a dept of 20 meters, where you can find a statue of Christ perfectly integrated in its marine habitat giving a quite suggestive experience during the first ascent. Frequent encounters with moray eels, octopuses, scorpion fish, while on the walls abundant of yellow sea fans, and some red ones.
Second dive Cala Grande
This dive will go as far as 30 meters, in a slightly more challenging dive, will further measure your capacity and offer you the amazing view of sea grass posidonia surrounded by red and yellow sea fans, is normally easy to spot some large size fish passing by.
Dinner will be provided at the accommodation.
Day 4 – Tuesday
First visit to l’Argentarola, a reef in the occidental side of the island, the southern part is one of the best diving spots of the Argentario even retaining a easy to medium level. You will be getting to a depth of 30 meters along this wall that reach the 40 meters. After the dive you will be left at your own devices completed with snorkel and mask to discover the wonders of these coves.
Dinner will be provided at the accommodation.
Day 5 – Wednesday
On this day you will be travelling inland together with the Kitesurfing tour to visit some of the most characteristic location of Maremma.
You will depart Il Poderino at around 10:30 heading for Eremo di San Galgano a chapel where you will see the original sword in the rock. The legend goes that around 1180 Galgano Guidotti an irreverent knight after that the Archangel Gabriel appeared twice in his dreams confined himself at Montesiepi Hermitage and placed his sword in the rock .Only short walk away you will be visiting the ruins of a remarkable abbey, where the walls are all still standing but the roof is notlonger in place, with a grassy floor and the blue sky the atmosphere is surreal.
You will be stop for a picnic lunch where you will be able to relaxand let the heat wear off.
By 16:00 everyone should be back on the minibus so that we can head to the nearby Fattoria di Marucchetone where the local cowboys “Butteri” will have a demonstration of their skills.
Dinner with local produced of the farm will be served.
Day 6 – Thursday
Two more dives in program for this day:
First dive Argentarola
Second stop on this reef, this time you will be spending more time ina different part, visiting an underwater cave that is set between the3 and 12 meters dept, the cave has characteristic stalactite and stalagmite fossil and is quite spacious once you get trough the tight entrance.
Second dive Scoglio del Corallo
Literally reef of the coral, this dive will give you the chance of exploring underwater canyons and gorges covered with the typical Mediterranean red coral at a dept of 20 meters, many creatures should be visible such as lobsters, octopuses, eels, jellyfish and dentex.
Dinner will be provided at the accommodation.
Day 7 – Friday
On this day a boat trip to the famous island of Giglio. The island is separated by a 16 km stretch of sea from the Argentario promontory:mainly mountainous, it is almost wholly constituted of granite culminating in the Poggio della Pagana (496 m). You will be visiting the island on foot in the morning, its surface is covered by Mediterranean vegetation alternating with large pine forests and numerous vineyards which enable the production of the famous “Ansonaco” wine.
At 12:00 you will board the boat heading to some nice coves where you will be able to do some snorkeling.
Lunch will be provided and the return is schedule for 16:00.

Day 8 – Saturday
There are two options for the return train to Pisa depending on the timing of your flight the 08:00 that will get you to Pisa by 10:15 or the 12:08 that will get you to Pisa by 14:15.
